Heads-up: Galaxy Store version no longer updated
Samsung discontinued third‑party Edge panel apps, so the Galaxy Store version of EdgeVolume will not receive updates. Note that the app will still work as a Samsung Edge panel app even if downloaded from the Google Play Store. Get the regularly updated Google Play version.
Please uninstall the Samsung Galaxy Store version and try again.
Samsung is not allowing updates to third-party Edge apps anymore, but updates on Google Play will continue. If you paid for the Galaxy Store version, please contact me via the app settings button and I will give you a promo code for the Google Play version. Please include the receipt of your purchase.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Go to Settings - Display - Edge panels - Panels and scroll to the right and select Edge Volume. It will now be added to your edge panels.
In the app settings, you can enable the Overlay Panel. You will be asked to grant permission to 'draw over other apps', which is required for the panel to be available at all times. Within the settings, you can also customize the position and appearance of the 'Handle'. The Handle is where you swipe inwards to reveal the volume panel.
EdgeVolume offers two distinct panel types depending on your device and preferences:
| Feature | Overlay Panel | Samsung Edge Panel |
|---|---|---|
| Compatibility | Works on any Android device | Supported Samsung devices only |
| Slider Interaction | Supports dragging the slider | Tap / press to set volume |
| Backgrounds | More backgrounds & customization | Fits into enabled Samsung edge panels |
The Overlay Panel works on any device, supports dragging the volume slider, and offers more background options. The Samsung Edge Panel is exclusive to supported Samsung devices, but fits seamlessly into what other edge panels you have enabled.
The most common issue is that, unfortunately, dragging the slider is not supported in the Samsung Edge Panel. You must press on the slider to set the volume.
The reason is that the Samsung Edge framework does not make drag gestures possible for Edge apps.
However, the Overlay Panel does fully support dragging the slider!
If you are using an older version of the app or are missing the Overlay Panel, update to the latest version of EdgeVolume on Google Play to use the Overlay Panel.
Please try to reinstall the app. Go to the Edge Panels settings and de-select, then re-select Edge Volume.
This will fix most issues. If the issue persists, please try to reboot your phone.
This is likely due to the Galaxy Store app not updating itself properly. Please try the following:
If none of this works, please contact Samsung Galaxy Store customer service with your receipt attached.
The app is available on Google play and on Galaxy Store. The purchase will be registered on the store where you purchased it. If you installed the app via Google play and have later updated it using the Galaxy store, the Galaxy store will not recognize your purchase. In this case, please uninstall all versions of the app and install it from the store where you purchased it.
No. It's a one-time payment.
Usually this is caused by some lag in the store. Please wait a few minutes and try again. If it still doesn't work, try to reinstall the app.
Your payment follows your your Samsung or Google account depending on where you paid. After a reset, it might take a while for the Galaxy Store or Google Play to update and register all the purchases. Please wait for it to update and try again. You don't have to pay a second time.
